How the SFPL Summer Reading Program Works
After you sign up for Summer Reading, keep track of the time you spend reading, being read to, and listening to stories in your online log. All time will be counted in minutes, so remember that 60 minutes = 1 hour.

PRIZE: When you have read for 10 hours (600 minutes), visit your library to choose a Summer Reading Prize– your choice of a book or a pair of museum passes! Prizes can be picked up starting Saturday, June 15th.

All who read 10 hours also get one virtual raffle entry for a chance to win a one-year Family membership for the California Academy of Sciences, the Exploratorium, the De Young Museum, or the Zoo. Additionally, you will be eligible for a chance to win a $500 gift card for Chronicle Books to be raffled off on August 18 at Sunday Streets by the Main Library.
