How To Play
The Kids Count Books Program is geared towards children ages 4 through grade 5 who are independently reading.

Program Goal: To encourage and foster the enjoyment of reading over the course of the summer.

Child’s Goal: To read 100 books (Easy Readers) over the course of the 9 week program.

To participate in this program, do the following:

  1. Start by clicking “Sign Up” and register by typing in your child’s info (name, age, school, etc.)

  2. Check out books from the library and read them.

  3. Log in to your summer reading account and record the title and author of each book read.

  4. When a prize banner appears on your account, please return to the library to report on the books and claim a prize. Reporting is optional but HIGHLY encouraged. The banner will appear when the child has reached these levels:
    • 25 books = Carnival Prize
    • 50 books = Carnival Prize
    • 75 books = Free Book!
    • 100 books = Medal, City Council Night Invitation

The 2014 Livermore Summer Reading Program begins on June 1, 2014 and ends at 5:00pm on August 16, 2014.
