This is the prequel to The Deepest Cut. It took me a little while to get used to Ian's viewpoint. I wish it were longer and it would add more details about Laria. Can't wait to read the rest of the books.   Library Catalog

The Butterfly Sister
Author
Amy Gail Hansen
Review
I always seem to gravitate to stories with inappropriate relationships. I wonder why? "The Butterfly Sister" was a good read. Ruby Rousseau is a young woman most women could relate to. A young woman trying to deal with the devastating fact that a man she though she knew and loved so intensely was not the man he seemed. This book was a love story and a mystery all rolled into one. It was a fast read for me; it moved a good pace and kept me interested even though the whole teacher/student love affair had me shaking my head. Amy Gail Hansen was very deft at keeping the ending from being a standard "I know how this will end" conclusion. I was quite surprised by the twists this story took. There was a few minor loose ends for me and I could of done with a little more emotional depth with each of the characters hence the reason I only gave the book 4 stars. All in all, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends.  Library Catalog

Loved this book, because unlike the other books about highschool life this comes dangerously close to the actual thing. Which made it more interesting to read because it wasn't a fantasy, making it easy for me to put myself in a position to become apart of the book   Library Catalog
