Walk Two Moons
Author
Sharon Creech
Review
I started listening to the audiobook, but because it kept on skipping, I ended up reading the ebook halfway through. I realized I liked it better in print than the audio. It just made me more aware of it and I retained the story better. Like many of Creech's books, the story slowly unfurled and thumped a slow and compelling rhythm. There were life lessons and messages for broken families. Love and appreciation for family was beautifully woven with the characters' emotional journeys. I might have given it 5 stars if I would have read the ebook or a physical copy from start to finish. I can understand why this book has been on so many booklists and have won many awards. It's a great recommendation to adults and kids.  Library Catalog

Uncanny X-Men. Vol. 3. The good, the bad, the inhuman
Author
Bendis, Brian Michael
Review
I got interested in the Inhumans during Jonathan Hickman's era on the Fantastic Four & also through the Guardians of the Galaxy. Alas, they are not a part of the book at all. Their mist is.

This is better than prior Bendis X-men books & is a series of short stories. The women deciding to shop was fun up til the fight (which is probably what they thought, come to think of it).  Library Catalog

Family Buisness
Author

Review
Someone is hunting for members of the Parker family and Peter's sister--the one he didn't know he had--knows why. There follows a crazed cross-continental chase, some spy business, and some family revelations. Also some villainy and double-crossing by various parties.

I'm not sure what I think of Peter Parker's parents as glamorous spies, but that's nitpicking. It's a fun, high-energy book with some emotional wallop, even if some aspects are fairly predictable.  Library Catalog
